Description

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2016 annual Springfest Season of Events - the Rotary Club of Ballarat's largest fundraising initiative. Events kicked off in August with a trivia night, corporate dinner, raffle and harness racing night and culminated in Springfest Market Sunday on November 27th. Every year thousands of people flock to Lake Wendouree's foreshore for Market Sunday, with 350 stallholders on show from across Victoria and beyond. In 2015, our SpringFest events raised more than $70,000. This money has been returned to many of the deserving charitable groups in Ballarat who work with volunteers, such as ourselves. This funding allows the charities to continue to function and provide their valuable services to the community. A small portion of the funds also goes to Rotary International to support the eradication of polio globally and also to provide assistance during disasters. Our target this year is $100,000.
