Welcome to Tara's K9 Solutions! I am a dog trainer in the San Diego area that offers obedience, behavior modification, and board & training programs!

Description

My name is Tara, I am 22 years old and started training dogs when I was about 7 years old. At this time I was in Alaska, participating in the German dog sport called "Schutzhund" or "IPO". I started attending training classes with my mom when I was about 3 years old, when I entered elementary school, I started handling dogs in Schutzhund and I also was a Handler for dog shows. After handling a few dogs, I got my first puppy to fully train by myself when I was 10. From then on there was no going back. After showing, training, and titling many dogs, I moved to Germany when I was 17. Here I had the chance to learn a new way of training. I went to some great seminars by Bart Bellon, Mia Skogster, Edgar Scherkl, Peter Scherk and more. I learned so much and loved every minute of it. After Germany, I moved to Switzerland and became a K9 Handler and trainer for Security companies. In addition to this, I got into the sport of Mondioring with my dogs. I owned 2 and trained dogs in Mondioring for others. I had the pleasure of training with the head military dog trainer for the Swiss Military in Bern. Now I reside in southern California and am training my young european boxer puppy in Schutzhund. My retired boxer gets to tag along also. She has an IPO 2 title. I am flexible with training locations, I can cover anything from Anaheim (on weekends) all the way south to San Ysidro border areas. Please contact me for more info.
