Tees Barrage International White Water Centre - BIGGER, BETTER, WETTER Tees Barrage International White Water Centre, is an artificial whitewater course on the north bank of the River Tees, in North East England. It is part of the Tees Barrage and is located in the town of Stockton-on-Tees.The Course has a redesigned main course, a new purpose built second shorter course and the installation of four large 12m long by 3m diameter Archimedes Screws to create guaranteed conditions for canoeists and rafters. When not used to pump water around the course, the pumps will use excess river water to generate electricity, helping the course to be sustainable in energy terms.
