TEXAS DRIVING SCHOOL is a family owned business serving the driver education needs of south Corpus Christi, Texas and surrounding areas for over 15 years. We are licensed (C0212) by the Texas Education Agency’s Driver Training Division and bonded as required by state law. Our certified and licensed instructors have years of combined experience in the driver education and driving safety field. Our school has consistently been named “Best of the Best” by the Corpus Christi Caller Times. The school is centrally located at 6069 Weber Road in the Las Palmas Shopping Center between Holly Road and Saratoga Boulevard. Our office suite is on the southwest side of the mall facing O’Day Parkway. Please come by for a tour of our facilities and to meet our friendly staff.

General Info

TEEN DRIVERS EDUCATION: Targeted at teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18 years old. We hold a drivers ed course once a month here at this location. The course includes 32 hours of classroom time, 7 hours of driving, and 7 hours of observation. Students receive a certificate that allows them to get their learners permit after the first week of class. Upon completing the course each student receives a completion certificate that will allow them to apply for a drivers license. ADULT DRIVERS EDUCATION: Department of Public Safety requires any person between the ages of 18 and 24 years old to complete this course before applying for a drivers license. We hold these classes every Sunday from 10AM to 4PM. Upon completion of the course each student receives a completion certificate that will allow the student to apply for a learners permit or drivers license. Lunch is provided for each class. ADULT DRIVING HOURS: Lessons behind the wheel with an instructor are also available. Each lesson is an hour long and you can decide how many you would like to purchase. We offer a pick up service for adults that do not have transportation. DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE: We offer this course every Saturday from 8AM to 2PM. This course is for anyone that has received a speeding ticket and has gotten permission from a judge to take a ticket dismissal class.Each student that completes this course will be mailed a certificate in mail within 3 to 7 days. A person may also take this course for an insurance discount. Lunch is provided by Schlotzsky's for each class. DRUG OFFENDER: This is a 5 day course and is offered once a month. The course is Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 9:30pm. Dinner is provided on the last day of class. Upon completing the course each student will receive a completion certificate.
