In honoring Michael P. Murphy's life we encourage people from all over the globe to join countless other patriots to participate in a workout challenge known throughout the Crossfit Community as 'MURPH'. A rigorous workout that Michael Murphy himself used to incorporate into his own personal training sessions (formerly known as 'Body Armor') By registering for 'The Murph Challenge', you will be pledging a donation that will create scholarships for highly motivated, and deserving high school graduates. The list of scholarships presently being funded by the LT Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation (501c3) are as follows; - 2 scholarships to graduates of Patchogue Medford High School - 1 scholarship through the Suffolk Federal Credit Union - 1 scholarship to a Wounded Warrior through the Military Order of the Purple Heart - 1 scholarship through Penn State University. - 1 scholarship to a Crew or family member of the USS MICHAEL MURPHY DDG112 - 1 scholarship to a LT Michael Murphy US Naval Sea Cadet - 1 scholarship to a child of a fallen Special Operator through the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. To raise donations through fundraiser registration that contribute directly to the LT Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation (501c3), so that they may continue to provide annual scholarships to deserving high school graduates. 'The Murph Challenge' is also dedicated to honoring the life and valor of LT Michael P. Murphy (SEAL), a Medal of Honor recipient who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect his teammates and brothers during Operation Red Wings in 2005. To learn more about the LT Michael P. San Diego Comic-Con International is a multigenre entertainment and comic convention held annually in San Diego, California. It was founded as the Golden State Comic Book Convention in 1970 by a group of San Diegans, which included Shel Dorf, Richard Alf, Ken Krueger and Mike Towry; later, it was called the "San Diego Comic Book Convention".
