Help us to help others by visiting http://www.nickwilsoncg.org/ The Nick Wilson Charitable Group (NWCG) is a non-profit organization located in Portland, Oregon that strives to support families negotiating the tumultuous and unknown journey through childhood cancer treatment and blood and marrow transplantation. NWCG was founded by Nick Wilson's family whose hope was to help other families like their own. Having faced their worst nightmare in 2001 when Nick passed away from complications of his second bone marrow transplant at the tender age of three, the Metz/Wilson Family focused their energies on what would help families in similar circumstances. Despite adequate health insurance, trying to make ends meet with the plethora of other expenses and issues that arose while Nick was undergoing treatment seemed a cruel reality of this dreadful experience. As a result, NWCG's mission was born.
