The Division of Parks, Recreation and Forestry is responsible for the management of Toledo's public greenspaces to enhance the quality of life for all citizens and visitors to the City of Toledo. Operations of our division include: Maintenance of 146 City of Toledo parks and facilities. Mowing of over 400 boulevards, cul-de-sacs and greenspaces. Maintenance of more than 100 Athletic fields and facilities, which includes baseball and softball diamonds, city pools, park shelter houses, tennis courts and the Ottawa Park Ice Rink. Recreation coordinates youth and adult athletic programs, which include baseball, softball, basketball, tennis and special events. Maintenance of all trees on the public right-of-way (between sidewalk and curb), on boulevards, and in City of Toledo parks and cemeteries. Management of the Forestry woodlot that makes landscape mulch that is used in playgrounds in City of Toledo parks, around trees, and landscapes. This mulch is available for sale to the public.
