This area has recently been designated by the state of Louisiana as a “Louisiana cultural district” which offers tax free shopping on all original artwork. A great bonus for art lovers!

Harriet Blum Collection LLC
20246 Johnsen Road Covington , LA 70435 null

Harriet Blum has lived in the New Orleans area for 40 years and has developed a recognizable style, often described as "romantic peacefulness", "ethereal" and "dreamy". She creates her art using a "tried and true" older-model Nikon camera and infrared film. She develops the film and prints the images herself, then hand-tints each original using transparent oils. Ms. Blum's work is featured in collections including the New Orleans Museum of Art, Roger Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans, Mobile Museum of Art, the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Loew's New Orleans Hotel, and Oschner Foundation Clinics.
