Description
The University of Cumbria's mooting society provides LLB Law and Law and Criminology students the opportunity to develop new and existing skills that are critical to to a whole range of career paths (from legal professions, teaching or media). Through use of mooting practice and competitions, students will be bale to ensure they are prepared for university with relevant research skills, advocacy skills and generally help build on their confidence. Additionally, mooting experience boosts a CV and provides an example of a wide skill-set for a potential employer or work experience roll. The mooting society also works closely with the student law society to provide events throughout the year including an annual law ball with local law firm solicitors present and various law-related trips.
