Description
The University of Leicester Students' Union is the students' union of the University of Leicester. Every student at the University of Leicester is a member of the students' union. We work to achieve the advancement of education of students at the University of Leicester by: • Promoting the interests and welfare of students at the University of Leicester during their course of study • Representing, supporting and advising students • Being the recognised representative channel between students and the University of Leicester and any other external bodies • Providing social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities • Providing forums for discussions and debate for the personal development of its students We are led by five elected students; supported by hundreds of part time student officers, staff and volunteers; who work full time to ensure an exceptional student experience. The Union building offers shops and bars which raise money to make sure that we're able to do all of these great things working together as students. We strive to ensure that every student at Leicester enjoys an exceptional experience.
