Island Lake is a crystal clear and unspoiled lake. Water sports include; premium fishing for walleye, northern pike, large and small mouth bass, crappie, perch, and bluegill. Excellent boating and skiing. Spring fed and located on the southeast end of Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge. Some wildlife creatures you might come across are: loons, ducks, geese, beaver, squirrels, chipmunks, birds, deer, grouse, porcupine and bear.
