My husband Walter and I are originally from Sonsonate, El Salvador As college students we decided to leave our home for greener pastures in America. With the support of both my father and sister in law my husband was able to find work at a well known restaurant chain as a waiter. But before long with lots of hard work and long hours he became the district manager. I followed a similar path, first starting as a waitress and then be coming a manager and became responsible for three seperate locations. God blessed my husband and I with two beautiful children, Wally and Vicky Salaverria, ages 16 and 4 respectively. Thanks to our faith in God and our hard work we are now lucky enough to open our restaurant Victorias. The name is special to my family as it is both the name of my beloved grandmother and it signifies our victories with Christ. Victorias has become a rich tapestty of our family heritage. We cook authentic Salvadorean cuisine, using many old family recipes I grew up enjoying. The loving support of my family, especially my mother Yolanda Alfaro who spent most of her years supplying delicious quality chorizo in El Salvador, has helped to make my dream a reality. It would be my family's pleasure to share the rich and vibrant flavor of our home with you. Stop by Victorias for a delicious home cooked meal!
