If you love BBQ, this is a place you have to try. Since 1925, Bob Gibson has held a fantastic grip on how to fix BBQ. The company has received numerous awards for their sauces and rubs. They are known particularly for their signature White Sauce.

The Square Pub was opened by two life-long restaurant guys, Jason and Bob. We both like great food, craft beer, sports, and laid back places to get all three. We met working together and decided later that, after years of working for other people, we wanted to have our own place. In a nutshell we have created the type of place where we would hang out.  Our menu includes your normal pub fare like burgers, wings and nachos but you will also find specials like ossobucco, steak or duck from time to time. You will also find a number of southwest influenced dishes such as a green chile cheeseburger or fried avocado that are influenced by Jason’s 10 years in New Mexico. Yes it is real green chile and Yes it is from Hatch. No matter what you’re in the mood for we strive to provide a higher quality of food than you might expect to find in a pub setting. I’d rather eat in a bar than drink in a restaurant.  We strive to provide an exceptional beer selection as well. Bob has been a home-brewer for years. That combined with over 20 years in the beer business and a general all around love of frosty beverages has turned him into quite the beer pro. We go with the “no crap on tap” philosophy and reserve our draughts for craft beers. With 19 taps and 35 bottles we are able to provide something for most every taste. 4 taps rotate seasonally and 4 others rotate with whatever is new and exciting or just plain good.  7 flat screens and 2 60” TV’s live throughout the bar’s 3 floors. 1st floor is the bar area for bellying up. 2nd floor is the lounge area with couches, darts, Golden Tee and a big screen. It’s a great place for kicking back. 3rd floor is our main dining room with booths and tables. Oh yeah, there’s a patio, too. Each floor is unique. One thing you will find the same on every floor is our exceptional service. Our servers are friendly and knowledgeable and will gladly help guide you through your food, beer or wine choices.  Our kitchen stays open until 2 am for all of you late-night eaters out there. We also serve late-night brunch starting everyday at 10pm. Yes you can get brunch at “regular” hours on the weekends from 11am until 3pm.  Ultimately, we are a neighborhood restaurant and bar with a laid back atmosphere, excellent food and drink, and exceptional service. The Brick Store Pub opened on June 27, 1997 at 9pm. Three friends from Athens, Georgia (Dave Blanchard, Mike Gallagher and Tom Moore) wanted, like so many others with a degree and no idea what to do with it, to own their own pub. Having worked in the bar/restaurant business for a combined 20+ years in Athens and Atlanta, they realized a niche had yet to be filled – a neighborhood pub where conversation dominates, pints are served properly and in the appropriate glassware, service is friendly and knowledgeable and the food is made from scratch every day, all accented by a beautiful historic building located on a bustling town square. Patrons come for all that we passionately offer but also because we provide an environment that boasts no televisions, no neon, no obnoxious music and no major domestic beers. What you find at our main bar are local, regional and nationally acclaimed American craft beers, German and English specialty beers and our vintage and reserve bottled beer list. We frequently rotate a carefully chosen array of 17 draught and 75 bottled beers. In 2004, House Bill 645 brought an end to Georgia’s 6% A.B.V. (alcohol by volume) law and allowed beers up to 14% to be sold in the state. This was the catalyst for our Belgian Room, a cozy host to all the new and amazing we beers we could offer and the beer lovers who were eagerly awaiting their arrival. “Upstairs and to the left” is where you will find the Belgian Beer Bar, featuring 8 rotating draughts and over 120 Belgian/Belgian-style bottled beers. Our relationship with importers and breweries allows us to offer beers you will find nowhere else. The Brick Store and its exclusive beer list have received national & international acclaim on the world’s two biggest beer websites– Beeradvocate.com & Ratebeer.com. We’ve also racked up ten consecutive years of “Best of Atlanta” recognition for our fabulous beer list and pub fare.
