Blue Canoe is a youth non-profit organization striving to create opportunities for young performers between the ages of 13-30 in the performing arts. Since 2006, Blue Canoe has provided youth in Kingston with the opportunity to explore their interest in the arts. Focusing on performing arts through theatre productions, youth between the ages of 13-30 gain important practical experience while also sharing their love of the arts with their peers
We offer University students, High School students, College students and non-student youth between the ages of 13-25 the opportunity to work together in creating theatre and showcasing local talent both on and off stage. Founded in 2006, Blue Canoe began as a community theatre group, we were ratified as a Queen's Student Club in 2010. In 2012 Blue Canoe became Blue Canoe Theatrical Productions inc. as a full incorporated non-profit origination. Blue Canoe strives to offer opportunities for students and youth to gain experience in the arts that is hard to find elsewhere in Kingston.
