For over thirty years Architectural Antiques has taken a lot of satisfaction in knowing that each antique architectural element that passes though our store is just on it’s way to a better place, an environment where it will be just as appreciated as the home or building it recently left. And for those who believe that a single antique architectural element has the ability to transform a room or building into something of beauty and harmony, Architectural Antiques is a place for you . . . a place where that transformation is brought to an art. We admit that it’s not a painting to be hung on a wall, but art it is. You’re surrounded by it every day in your home, your office or in whatever environment you spend time. With over 25,000 square feet of retail space, Architectural Antiques has one of the largest inventories of architectural elements in the country. We specialize in antique architectural elements such as vintage original light fixtures & hardware, fireplace mantels, and ecclesiastical artifacts. Most of Architectural Antiques' merchandise is acquired either by purchasing salvage rights for buildings and homes slated for demolition or from dealers. The popularity of post-modern interiors and the desire for unusual, high quality pieces are fueling the growing demand for architectural elements. Customers range from the collector or antique enthusiast looking for a rare item, to homeowners, architects or designers trying to match a particular decor. As people remodel or add on to their homes, they look for antique architectural elements to give their projects a unique flavor. For example, many people purchase antique fireplace mantels for reuse in the renovation of their homes to add warmth and charm to a contemporary home decor. Architectural Antiques is one of the nation's largest recyclers of vintage ecclesiastical artifacts recovered from the large number of churches that are being torn down around the country. These artifacts include stained glass windows, church pews, ornate carved paneling, statuary (including Stations of the Cross), and light fixtures.
