The Black Owned Business Network was created for aspiring business owners to network, sell and purchase products or services.

Description

Black Owned Business Network was created to ACTIVELY support black owned businesses and support the communities in which we live along with providing growth (professional or personal) opportunities for our viewers. We created Black Owned Business Network to give back to the community by helping those in need. We will support our MEMBERS efforts by advertising there businesses on our Facebook page and on our website www.bobn1.com. We will bring you information that enhances your mind, body and soul. We want our viewers to grow on a personal and professional level. Your community is our business. However, we are now MEMBER DRIVEN. The funds from the membership will be used to promote and advance our members (The Business Owners). We will also help those who are not looking to own their business but find good jobs. (A job board will be coming soon). However, we will post information to prepare you for getting the job (Interview Etiquette). So here are some ground rules of The Black Owned Business Network. I. BE PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS – No inappropriate postings are allowed. Derogatory or hateful comments are not allowed. You will be removed and your membership fee will not be refunded. Comments against race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or political beliefs are NOT ALLOWED. II. Networking is important for your professional and personal development. Creating meaningful and healthy relationships are always encouraged. Please do this in a professional manner. The Black Owned Business Network will not be responsible for relationships that may go wrong or business transactions that are done between members or viewers. However, if you have too many complaints we may investigate them and if found to not be a “good business” You will be removed. III. The Black Owned Business Network is a “DRAMA FREE ZONE.” We only want SOLUTIONS and PREVENTATIVE MEASURES. IV. Once you have paid your membership fee, please introduce yourself and your business under the ‘Welcome’ post. Please include your City and State a contact number or a website if you have one. If you don’t have a website YET, please check out the shopping section on the website and purchase a web designer. V. We will have a Business Spotlight. Spotlights are throughout the month and all businesses will be featured. Please check back often. We will ask you questions about your businesses to engage our viewers and we need you available to answer them. So send us a message letting us know the best time that works for you. A membered business will be “pinned” throughout the week. We will let you know when your business will be pinned. VI. Tell us about your product or service. Participation in the group is mandatory. You must “Like and post” a comment about your product or service at least one hour after it is posted. Be ACTIVE, it’s the only way to get people interested in your product or service. We will be monitoring the page and post. If you do not interact within the group or on your post you will be removed. VII. Events will be posted on the website. Your event will be posted on the page 30-45 days before your event if you notify us. Do not SPAM the wall. Do not post any events on the events calendar unless you get approval from one of the admins (Tiffany Banks or Sabrina Griffin). Be Courteous and remember NO INAPPROPRIATENESS OR YOU WILL BE REMOVED. VIII. Please do not sign up for an event unless you are actually going to attend it. If something comes up and you are unable to attend, then please remove yourself from the event. IX.
