Description

Scottish Rite auditorium on top floor with seating for up to 250 people and stage equipped for theatrical productions. Dining Hall with seating for 100 + and commercial kitchen on ground floor. All facilities are available to the public for rental. The Greensboro Masonic Museum collection is housed on the third floor. Museum tours are available by appointment, details at http://www.greensboromasonicmuseum.org/ . Built in 1928 and refurbished in 2012, Greensboro Masonic Temple has been utilized by many area Masonic Organizations. There are 5 Blue Lodges currently housed at GMT: Greensboro Lodge #76, A.F.& A.M. Corinthian Lodge #542, A.F.& A.M. Guilford Lodge #656, A.F.& A.M. Gate City Lodge #694, A.F.& A.M. P. P. Turner Lodge #746, A.F.& A.M. A North Carolina traveling Blue Lodge, Wilkerson College Lodge #760, A.F.& A.M., is also based at GMT. GMT is home to many Masonic appendent bodies: Scottish Rite Valley of Greensboro, which includes: James W. Cortland Lodge of Perfection, Guilford Chapter Rose Croix, Greensboro Council of Kadosh, and Greensboro Consistory Greensboro York Rite Bodies, which include: Chorazin Chapter No. 13, R.A.M.; Greensboro Council No. 3, R. & S.M.; Ivanhoe Commandery No. 8, K.T.; and NC Piedmont York Rite College 124. Other area Masonic organizations which have utilized GMT facilities include Greensboro Assembly #23 of International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, DeMolay, Nathanael Greene Council #34 A.M.D.; Triad Council #286 A.M.D.; Greensboro Chapter 14 Order Of The Eastern Star; Guilford Chapter 141 Order Of The Eastern Star; Amaranth Triad Court #13; Gate City Shrine No. 2, Order Of The White Shrine Of Jerusalem and Tall Cedars Lodge 161.
