Inferno Racing is a new brand in functional Fitness Racing events. Our races put the athletes first, creating exceptional and memorable experiences for all levels of fitness, from newbies to pros. The Inferno Racing brand is responsible for: the Inferno Pairs Series, the Inferno Fours Series and Strength in Depth. WHAT IS FITNESS RACING? ------------------------------------------------- Fitness racing tests your all-round athletic ability in a competitive situation. All-round athletic ability is demonstrated through athletic performance in ten components of fitness: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. Fitness racing is dynamic, challenging, exciting, and rewarding - no two fitness races are the same! OUR EVENTS ---------------------------------------------------- INFERNO PAIRS SERIES: The Inferno Pairs Series is a series of three competitions in the same sex pairs format. The competitions take place over two days and are varied, challenging, and most importantly, fun! The events are open to all levels of fitness, with no qualifiers. Each competition takes place over seven workouts with a final for the best teams. The workouts test all-round athletic ability, teamwork, and the will to compete - you never work harder than when part of a team. Events are held at indoor athletic centres and attract up to 300 teams. In 2017 season Inferno Pairs Series events are planned for London, Sheffield, and Cardiff. Stay tuned for the 2018 season! We aim to encourage athletes from other sports, e.g. obstacle course racing or powerlifting, to give fitness racing a try. For competitive fitness racers we aim to provide opportunities to combine the sport they love with different sporting challenges. Inferno Fours Series events will be for everyone! The aim of the competition is to find the fittest affiliate, gym, or mixed sex sports team in Europe. The competition consists of three online qualifiers and a two-day final at Bath University Sports Training Village.
