Dr. Skye views the mind, body and spirit as an integrated whole and believes the body and mind have an inherent nature to be in balance and healthy. Dr. Skye aims to take a "wholistic" view of the individual person and looks for the imbalance, whether physical or mental in origin. Wellness therefore naturally follows the establishment of balance between optimal physical health and positive mental orientation. Dr. Skye integrates the best of western, natural, and complementary medicine to heal illness on many levels. Diseases can be diagnosed with modern medical science and laboratory studies while managed using a variety of modalities including lifestyle counseling, nutrition, natural substances, botanical remedies, homeopathics, physical medicine, mind body medicine and biofeedback along with pharmaceuticals when appropriate. Dr. Skye specializes in Mind-Body Medicine, which looks at how health promoting practices - mindfulness/meditation, biofeedback, guided visualization training, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Autogenics, Yoga, Tai Chi, counseling and more - affect our physiological, biochemical, psychological and neurological health.
