Work with Builders or Key Club members to shovel the walkways in your neighborhood. Help your younger siblings make homemade snowflakes to enjoy while inside, with the super cold temps. Getting ready for B.U.G. Programs at your school this fall: stock up on goodies. Most are under 3 bucks. Sticker rolls, T's, and certificates are a bit more. https://store.kiwanis.org/Subcategory/BUG.htm
Sponsoring Kiwanis Clubs---Be sure to find me (better yet, get up early on Saturday the 15th for the KKIds/Builders Workshop at District Convention in Owensboro) at the upcoming KT Kiwanis District Convention. This is a great time to make sure your Kiwanis Kids Clubs contact info is up to date. I am also hoping to have 15-16 Contest Info. Hoping we will have some entries next Spring, so we can have a KT Kiwanis Kid present their speech or essay at the 2016 Kiwanis District Convention in Chattanooga!!
NEWSLETTER TIME!! I am in the process of working on the Back To School Newsletter for both Kiwanis Kids and Builder's Clubs for Kentucky and Tennessee. Do you have an AWESOME Club Project from this past year??? Please share the details with me, and I will add them in the Newsletter. If you would like to email me, please private message me, or see the KT Kiwanis Directory for my contact info.
I have an email out to the Kiwanis Clubs in KT that are sponsoring active Kiwanis Kids Clubs, this is so I can have an updated listing of both Kiwanis and School Advisers. Thanks to Berea to getting back first!!!.
Did your Kiwanis Kids receive their Club Kit box yet?? If you renewed their sponsorship on line last fall, you should have received your Kit before Christmas. If you sent in your annual sponsorship by check in November, you should have received the Kit sometime in the last couple of weeks. I still need updated emails for both Kiwanis and School Kiwanis Kids Advisors. I will be sending an email to the current list of sponsoring Kiwanis Club Presidents and Secretarys this Wednesday for this info as well as the Contest topics and links to the entry forms etc. I am planning on having a Kiwanis Kids member speak at the KT Kiwanis Convention in Owensboro in August.
