We believe that most of the policies used in the past to eliminate drugs (Poppy) in Afghanistan remain counterproductive. Research shows that general awareness of the drug effect on the society, economy, security, diseases is missing to the greater extend. New Hope Welfare Foundation is in an impression that unless the drug is not wiped out from the farmers, traffickers and consumers’ minds, it will not be wiped out from the land or market. The only methods or message which is strongly believed to be helpful and useful is the religion of Islam which needs to be promoted and spread to every individual in Afghanistan and around the globe. According to Quran and Hadiths drugs, use, sales, and cultivation is harmful, not permissible and this remains the main job of New Hope Welfare Foundation to carry through different methods in the future. The main mission of New Hope Welfare foundation is to fight the current poppy (Opium) cultivation, consumption and trade in Afghanistan and globally.
