Description

We are working to bring change to the family court systems in this country. Women and children are abused and killed daily. Can you imagine surviving a violent relationship, only to have the family court system, hand them over to your batterer? This and worse is happening daily. The Amber Project is committed to education, housing and legal counsel. Our goal is to help these women, not only survive and leave, but to give them a safe place to recover and keep their children. Every day, children are ripped from their mothers; and put into the care of violent fathers or known pedophiles. We are committed to bringing change, help, and awareness to this ever increasing problem. To provide long term 1-2 year housing along with legal help, counseling, daycare and substance abuse treatment for mothers and children who have been not only affected by intimate partner violence, but are at the risk of losing her children to the perpetrator, or having her children sent out of the United States.
