Description

Kyobashi High School and Kyobashi Commercial High School were in the present site of Harumi Sogo High School. Under the innovative scheme of establishing new type of schools, Harumi Sogo was founded in 1996 as the first comprehensive high school in Tokyo. The pilot school was characterized by promoting students’ individual skills and providing occupational capabilities to contribute toward creation and development of universal and individualistic culture and formation of a rich society to meet the trend of the changing world. We celebrated the 10th anniversary in 2005. We observe the Fundamental Law of Education and aim at providing upper secondary general instruction on the basis of the education given in junior high schools. To achieve these goals, we’ve set our basic goals as follows: 1) To broaden and develop capabilities to meet the changing world. 2) To enhance and develop artistic awareness and enrichment of creative thoughts and skills. 3) To encourage and develop communication skills and to promote awareness of mutual understanding on a global scale.
