Description

WOW Science is run by Sue Martin. A qualified teacher, Sue graduated from Exeter University with an honours degree in Physics and Education. She became Head of Physics at Parkstone Grammar School in Poole, Dorset. After taking a break to bring up a family, Sue returned to teaching in primary education as a science specialist. In the primary sector she has had roles as a deputy Headteacher; Primary Science Consultant; and as the Headteacher at St Martin's School in Bournemouth. Sue specialises in developing exciting hands-on science experiences for children and supporting teachers to do this. She has: delivered initial and CPD training for non-specialist primary school teachers; presented workshops and science events to children and adults both nationally and internationally; written and developed resources for teachers. Sue now continues to support the dissemination of best practice in primary science education in her role as the Programme Director for the Primary Science Teaching Trust. www.pst.org.uk
