The Nieman Fellowship program is the oldest and best-known study program for journalists in the world.
More than 1,300 journalists from 91 countries and territories around the world have come to Harvard for a year of learning, exploration and fellowship. Nieman Fellows are provided the opportunity to step back from deadlines, renew their intellectual curiosity and enrich their understanding of the topics they cover.
From Harvard Square Red Line Stop: 1. Take the Church Street exit out of the station and follow the signs to Harvard Yard. 2. Go straight out of the exit a few feet and turn right, going through the gate into Harvard Yard. Head toward the statue of John Harvard in front of the white stone building directly in front of you. (This statue of a man sitting in a chair is the only statue in the Yard.) 3. At the sidewalk in front of the statue, take a left. When you go through the gate and leave the Yard, follow the sidewalk between the Science Center on your left (a big modern building) and Memorial Hall on your right (a big, ornate red building that looks like a church but isn't). 4. Cross the street at the the intersection and take a right onto KIRKLAND. Go two blocks, past a little stone church on your right and a tall white concrete building on your left. Lippmann House is on your left at the corner of Francis and Kirkland.
